6-in-1 USB-C docking station
The Orico ORICO-FX3 is a 6-in-1 USB-C docking station that adds three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and VGA video outputs, Gigabit Ethernet, SD and TF card slots and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It delivers up to 100 W pass-through charging while weighing 22.1 mm thick in an aluminium and ABS chassis with heat-dissipation holes.
Suits single-display laptop users
It suits users who need one external monitor at 4K 30 Hz or 1080p 120 Hz, wired networking and legacy USB-A peripherals from a single USB-C port. It does not suit buyers who need two independent external displays, simultaneous HDMI and VGA output above 1080p 60 Hz, or simultaneous reading of SD and TF cards.
100 W PD pass-through power
The single specification that decides fit is the 100 W Power Delivery pass-through rating; the host laptop must support USB-C PD charging at or above that level for the dock to power the system while all ports are active.

Questions about this item
What comes in the box with the ORICO-FX3 and do I need to buy any cables separately?
The box contains only the docking station itself. A USB-C host cable is built in. You will need to supply your own HDMI or VGA video cable, Ethernet patch cord and any USB-A peripherals.
The product lists HDMI 4K@30Hz and VGA 1080P@60Hz — which should I choose for an external monitor?
Use HDMI for a single 4K display at 30Hz or 1080p at 120Hz. Use VGA only for legacy 1080p@60Hz screens. Both ports active together are limited to 1080p@60Hz.
What does the 100W PD rating mean when the dock is connected to my laptop?
The dock can pass up to 100W of power from your USB-C charger to the laptop while all ports are in use. Actual charge speed depends on your charger and laptop negotiation.
