The Orico enclosure turns a single M.2 NVMe SSD into a portable USB-C drive. It accepts M-key and B+M-key modules in the 2280 form factor. SATA-based M.2 drives and PCIe AHCI devices are not supported. The aluminium chassis with integrated cooling vest and thermal pad helps maintain performance during sustained transfers.

Verify that your SSD is an NVMe model in the 2280 size with an M or B+M key before ordering. The enclosure connects via USB Type-C using the USB 3.2 Gen2x2 standard, so the host port must support 20 Gbps operation to reach the quoted speeds. A USB-C to USB-A cable limited to 10 Gbps is also included for older ports.

Thermals and Power

The all-aluminium body and wraparound cooling vest conduct heat away from the drive without any moving parts, so the unit runs silently. Power is drawn entirely from the host USB connection; no external adapter is required.
