1 1/2 in No Hub Male Adapter

This Schedule 40 polypropylene fitting connects a plain-end pipe to a female NPT thread. It is intended for installers working on non-pressure or low-pressure drainage and vent systems where a hub-less joint is required. The blue colour identifies the material at a glance.

Male NPT thread and plain spigot

The adapter provides a 1 1/2 in male NPT thread on one end and a smooth spigot sized for 1 1/2 in pipe outside diameter on the other. Schedule 80 wall thickness on the fitting body supports an 80 psi maximum operating pressure from 0 to 160 degrees F. No gaskets, clamps or solvent cement are included in the box.

Push into no-hub coupling and tighten

Installation consists of inserting the spigot end into a standard no-hub coupling and tightening the clamps, then threading the NPT end into the mating female fitting. Leaks usually come from under-tightened coupling bands or damaged threads on the NPT side. The polypropylene material cannot be solvent-welded, so do not apply PVC or ABS cement to the spigot.
