Laboratory sink for chemical resistance

The Orion ARLS 17 is a wall-mounted laboratory sink moulded from corrosion-resistant polyethylene. Its black finish and square bowl suit research, educational or industrial facilities that need a durable, easy-to-clean station for handling aggressive reagents. The unit mounts above or below the counter for flexible installation.

Drain and dimension constraints

A single 1-1/2 in drain opening limits the flow rate, so high-volume wash-downs may need an auxiliary floor drain. The bowl measures 23 in by 18 in with a 12 in depth, while overall footprint reaches 25-1/2 in by 20-1/2 in and stands 14-1/4 in tall; verify countertop cut-out and wall clearance before ordering.

Replaces metal or composite sinks

This polyethylene bowl replaces stainless-steel, epoxy-resin or fireclay sinks where acid, solvent or salt exposure causes pitting, staining or delamination. The jump is worth it when chemical compatibility outweighs the need for an integral backsplash or ADA-compliant rim height, neither of which this model provides.

Questions about this item

Which mounting option suits a lab bench best, above or below the counter?

The Orion ARLS 17 accepts both above-counter and below-counter installation, so you can match the sink to existing cut-outs or cabinetry.

How deep is the bowl and what does that mean for daily lab work?

A 12-inch bowl depth holds tall beakers and reduces splash-back when washing glassware or draining large vessels.

What does the 1-1/2-inch drain opening limit in practice?

The 1-1/2-inch drain fits standard laboratory tailpieces and strainers, capping flow to typical lab drainage rates.
