Compact 2.0 desktop speaker

The OROW S206 is a 2.0 multimedia speaker system designed for computers, laptops and monitors. It targets users who want straightforward stereo sound without a separate subwoofer. The pair draws power from a USB port and connects via a 3.5 mm audio jack for plug-and-play operation.

12 watts total output with bass diaphragms

Each satellite delivers 12 watts RMS, giving 12 watts total system power for near-field listening. Four bass diaphragms, two per speaker, reinforce low frequencies while keeping vocals clear. The compact drivers suit music, video calls and casual gaming at moderate volumes but will not fill a large room.

USB power and 1.6 m cable with inline volume

A single USB cable supplies 5 V power, removing the need for an external adapter. The 1.6 m USB lead and 1.3 m audio cable reach most desk layouts, and the inline volume control lets you adjust level without software. The 10.0 x 7.0 x 7.0 cm footprint fits tight spaces and travels easily in a bag.

Questions about this item

Will the 12 W USB-powered speakers run from an older laptop USB 2.0 port without an external adapter?

The speakers draw 5 V USB power and need no separate adapter, so a standard USB 2.0 port can supply the 12 W total output.

How can I confirm the dual 4-bass-diaphragm drivers are delivering the clean vocal focus the S206 promises?

Play a vocal-centric track; you should hear prominent mids without harshness or background noise, and the inline cable volume control should adjust level smoothly.

Does the box include both the 1.6 m USB power cable and the 1.3 m 3.5 mm audio cable, or must I buy either separately?

Both cables are permanently attached to the speaker set — the 1.6 m USB lead for power and the 1.3 m 3.5 mm lead for audio — so nothing extra is required.
