ORtek HW192 Stainless Steel Keyboard

The ORtek HW192 is a full-size wireless keyboard built with a stainless steel chassis and low-profile scissor-switch keys. It connects via a 2.4G nano USB receiver and includes a dedicated numeric keypad plus Windows media hotkeys. A built-in rechargeable battery is rated for six months of use based on two hours of daily typing. The ultra-slim frame measures 42.8 cm by 12.5 cm by 1.4 cm.

Suits users wanting a quiet, metal deck

This keyboard suits users who want a quiet, low-profile typing experience on a rigid stainless steel deck without mechanical switch noise. It works instantly on Windows 10, 8 or 7 desktops, laptops and compatible smart TVs. Buyers who need mechanical key feel, per-key RGB lighting, programmable macro keys or Bluetooth connectivity should look at other models because this unit offers none of those features.

Check for a free USB-A port and 2.4G clearance

Before ordering, verify your system has an available USB-A port for the nano receiver and that the 2.4G wireless path can reach up to 10 metres or 33 feet without heavy interference. The receiver is stored inside the packaging tube; ensure you locate it before discarding the box. No software driver is required, but the keyboard may not function through certain external USB hubs.

Questions about this item

Does my computer need a free USB-A port for the nano receiver?

Yes, the keyboard connects through a 2.4 GHz nano USB receiver that plugs directly into a USB-A port on the computer.

Can I keep using a wired mouse while this keyboard is connected?

The keyboard uses its own dedicated nano receiver, so a wired mouse on a separate USB port will continue to work normally.

How do I know the battery is charging when I plug in the USB cable?

Connect the supplied USB charging cable to the keyboard; the cable is for charging only and the battery is rated for six months of use at two hours per day.
