Two-Computer USB Sharing

This ORVIX USB-C switch lets two computers share up to four USB devices such as a keyboard, mouse, printer or external drive. It is aimed at users who alternate between a work machine and a personal laptop and want a single set of peripherals on the desk. The unit is not a KVM switch and does not carry video signals.

Four 10Gbps Ports and Remote Button

Four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports deliver up to 10Gbps throughput, moving a 1GB file in roughly 1.5 seconds. A wired remote button is included so you can toggle the active computer without reaching behind the hub. The ports are intended for data devices; audio peripherals are not recommended.

Plug-and-Play Powered by Hosts

The switch draws power from the connected computers and supplies up to 2.4A total, enough for typical keyboard, mouse, printer and hard-drive combinations without an external adapter. Maximum current depends on each host’s USB implementation and may be lower on USB 3.0 or 2.0 ports. Two USB-C to C cables are bundled for immediate connection.

Questions about this item

What USB standard does the switch use and what real-world throughput does it cap at?

It uses USB 3.2 Gen 2 with four downstream ports rated at 10Gbps, moving a 1 GB file in roughly 1.5 seconds.

What cables and ports are required on each computer to connect this switch?

Each computer needs a USB-C port; the box includes two USB-C to USB-C data cables for the upstream links.

How is the switch powered and what common mistake limits the 2.4A maximum output?

It draws power from the connected computers with no external adapter; the 2.4A ceiling drops if either host only offers USB 3.0 or 2.0 ports.
