Professional Lighting Source

The OSRAM FTM 64788 is a 2000W tungsten halogen lamp built for studio and stage environments. Its GY16 base and 240V rating suit professional fixtures that require high-output, continuous lighting. The 3200K colour temperature matches traditional tungsten film balance. This lamp is designed for operators who need reliable, full-spectrum output.

Fixed 400-Hour Service Life

The rated life of 400 hours sets a hard limit on continuous use before replacement is necessary. High-temperature halogen operation means output remains consistent until the filament fails. Frequent striking or voltage fluctuation can reduce this figure further. Productions must budget for regular relamping schedules.

52000 Lumen Output Decides Fit

The 52000 lumen rating is the single specification that determines whether this lamp delivers enough intensity for a given throw distance or aperture. Lower-output alternatives will not match the exposure level. The GY16 base and CP/72 designation confirm physical and electrical compatibility with specific fixtures. Verify both before purchase.

Questions about this item

Is the 2000 W CP/72 version the only option for a GY16 fixture?

The CP/72 code identifies this 2000 W, 240 V halogen lamp with a GY16 base; no other wattage or base variants are listed for this model.

What does the 52000 lumen rating deliver on a film or stage set?

At 3200 K and CRI 100, the 52000 lm output provides full-spectrum, daylight-balanced light suitable for key lighting or high-speed camera work.

How does the GY16 base limit the fixtures I can use?

The GY16 two-pin base only fits sockets designed for that exact pin spacing, so the lamp cannot be used in standard Edison or bi-pin holders.
