OSRAM HSR 575W Metal Halide Lamp

This OSRAM HSR 575W metal halide lamp delivers 49000 lumens at a 7200K daylight colour temperature. It uses a GX9.5 bipin prefocus base for secure fixture mounting. The lamp suits stage, architectural and event lighting where high output and crisp white light are required.

Arc discharge limits restart speed and dimming

The arc discharge design requires a warm-up period before reaching full brightness and cannot be instantly restruck after a power interruption. Dimming capability is limited compared to incandescent or LED sources. Fixtures must provide appropriate ignition voltage and thermal management for the 575W rating.

1000-hour rated life defines replacement cycle

With a rated life of 1000 hours and a colour rendering index of 85, this lamp is built for professional productions that schedule relamping around performance runs. Buyers needing continuous multi-thousand-hour operation without planned maintenance should consider alternative technologies.

Questions about this item

Which colour temperature should I choose between the available 5600K and 7800K options?

This lamp is supplied at a fixed 7200K daylight white; the 5600K to 7800K range describes the wider HSR family, not selectable versions of this bulb.

What does the 49000 lumen rating deliver in an actual fixture?

49000 lumens from the 575W arc gives intense, crisp daylight output suited to automated stage and architectural lighting.

How does the GX9.5 bipin prefocus base limit what I can install it in?

The GX9.5 bipin prefocus base only fits fixtures designed for that exact socket; it cannot be used in standard screw or other bipin holders.
