Professional Lighting Bulb

The OSRAM SYLVANIA EBV is a 500W incandescent photoflood lamp designed for professional photography and film production. It delivers 17800 lumens at a 3400K colour temperature with a perfect 100 CRI for accurate colour rendering. This bulb suits studio environments requiring intense, high-quality continuous light output.

Fixture Compatibility Check

Verify your fixture accepts a PS25 bulb shape and is rated for 500W at 120V before ordering. The high wattage generates significant heat, so the socket and wiring must be certified for this load. Ensure the supply voltage matches the 120V rating exactly for safe operation.

Heat Output and Lamp Life

Normal use produces extreme surface temperatures requiring careful handling and adequate ventilation around the fixture. The rated life is 8 hours, so plan for frequent replacement during extended shoots. Power draw is a constant 500W with no dimming capability mentioned in the specifications.
