Edge-to-Edge Glass for iPhone 7 Plus and 8 Plus

The OtterBox Amplify Edge2Edge is a tempered-glass screen protector cut to cover the full display of the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus. It ships with a black frame that aligns the protector during installation. The glass is rated for up to five times the scratch resistance of the leading glass alternative. Buyers who need a protector for any other iPhone model cannot use this item.

Black Alignment Frame and Installation

The included black frame acts as a guide so the glass seats evenly across the curved edges without bubbles or misalignment. The package does not contain a cleaning wipe, dust removal sticker or liquid adhesive; installers must supply their own preparation tools. The frame is single-use and remains on the protector after application. Users who prefer a frameless, self-aligning protector will find this method unsuitable.

Tempered Glass Limits and Case Compatibility

Tempered glass absorbs impact by cracking sacrificially, so a severe drop can still shatter the protector while the phone screen survives. The edge-to-edge profile adds minimal thickness but may interfere with cases that wrap tightly over the front bezel or have raised lips that press on the glass perimeter. The protector offers no privacy filtering, anti-glare coating or blue-light reduction. Buyers who want those features must choose a different product.

Questions about this item

How often will the glass need replacing if it gets scratched?

The protector offers up to five times greater scratch resistance than leading glass alternatives, so replacement due to everyday scratches should be far less frequent.

What is the first limit reached during continuous daily use?

The main limit is physical impact; the ultra-strong glass is designed to absorb drops and shield the screen until it cracks, at which point it must be replaced.

Does the black frame trap heat against the screen during all-day use?

The precision-fit glass sits flush with the display and adds negligible thermal insulation, so normal phone heat dissipation is unaffected.
