Rugged case for iPhone 12 Pro Max

The OtterBox Defender Pro Case and Holster is a full-body protective cover built specifically for the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max. It uses rigid plastic construction with a plain black finish to shield the device from daily hazards. The included holster adds a belt-clip carry option and a hands-free kickstand for media viewing. This combination suits users who need heavy-duty defence without removing the case for wireless charging.

Upgrade from basic shells when drops are frequent

This case replaces thinner snap-on covers that lack port covers or screen lips. The jump is worth it if your phone regularly hits concrete, gets tossed into tool bags or rides on a belt. The holster eliminates the need for a separate clip, and the port covers keep lint out of charging jacks. Buyers who want a slim pocket profile or minimal added bulk should look elsewhere.

Qi charging works through the case

The Defender Pro supports Qi wireless charging without removal, so the charging pad is the practical limit for cable-free power. Wired charging still requires opening the port cover, which adds a step each time. The holster kickstand only offers one fixed viewing angle. The drop rating references MIL-STD-810G 516.6 at four times the standard count, but no water-resistance rating is provided.

Questions about this item

Does the rigid plastic shell of the OtterBox Defender Pro add bulk that prevents Qi wireless charging?

The case works with Qi wireless charging, so the rigid plastic shell does not block power transfer to the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

How do I install the holster so it stays locked as both a belt clip and a kickstand?

Slide the holster onto the case until the latch clicks; the same click secures it for belt carry and locks the kickstand angle.

Will the port covers on the Defender Pro wear out and need replacement after frequent opening?

The integrated port covers are moulded into the case body and are not removable, so there are no separate flaps to replace.
