Rugged protection for iPhone 12/12 Pro

The OtterBox Defender Series case fits the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. It is built for users who need heavy-duty defence against drops, bumps and everyday abrasion. The multi-layer construction absorbs impact and shields the screen and camera area. It suits anyone who works outdoors or simply wants maximum device safety.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

A phone case has no active cooling, fan or power draw, so it produces no noise and adds no thermal load to the device. The materials do not trap heat in a way that affects normal operation. There is no electrical consumption to consider. The case simply provides physical protection without changing the phone’s thermal behaviour.

Questions about this item

How do I install the two-piece shell on my iPhone 12 without leaving a gap?

Snap the inner polycarbonate frame onto the phone first, then press the outer rubber slipcover over it until every corner clicks; the most common mistake is fitting the slipcover before the frame is fully seated.

Which part of the Defender Series case for iPhone 12 will wear out first and need replacing?

The outer rubber slipcover stretches and tears before the inner frame; it can be purchased separately and swapped without tools.
