Defender Series rugged case for 13-inch iPad Pro

The OtterBox Defender Series is a rugged case built specifically for the Apple iPad Pro 13-inch (M4). It combines a hard internal shell, a soft outer slipcover and a built-in screen protector to defend the tablet from drops, dirt and daily impacts. The black case includes an integrated stand and Apple Pencil storage.

Installation uses a multi-layer shell

The case assembles from a rigid plastic inner shell and a flexible outer slipcover that snap together around the device. A built-in screen protector is integrated into the front layer, while port covers block dust from jacks. Alignment of the screen protector and shell edges during assembly is the main point to watch for a secure fit.

Protection rated to 2X MIL-STD-810G 516.6

Drop protection is tested to twice the 810 516.6 military standard, though the case adds bulk and weight that may not suit minimalist users. The integrated stand locks in four positions for typing, viewing, portrait use and landscape streaming. Lanyard attach points are included, but the case does not add water resistance or a keyboard connector.
