Protection for iPhone X and XS

The OtterBox Pursuit Series case is built for iPhone X and iPhone XS owners who want rugged defence against drops, bumps and scratches. Its ultra-thin profile keeps the handset pocketable while a recessed back surface shields the rear glass from surface abrasion. A bundled lanyard adds an extra tether against accidental slips.

Drop defence and daily headroom

The case absorbs repeated impacts from typical waist-high falls onto hard floors and resists keys or coins in a mixed pocket. It stops short of surviving extreme crush loads or prolonged immersion, so users who routinely work around heavy machinery or deep water should look elsewhere.

Lightning port and button access

Precise cut-outs maintain full use of the Lightning connector, mute switch and volume controls without removing the case. The fingerprint identity sensor remains fully responsive through the cover. Wireless charging pads work normally, though very thick third-party coils may require case removal.

Questions about this item

Will this case fit both my iPhone X and a friend's iPhone XS without blocking the Lightning port?

Yes, the case is designed for both iPhone X and iPhone XS and allows access to all ports and buttons including the fingerprint identity sensor

How can I verify the recessed back is protecting the camera lenses after I snap the case on?

Place the phone on a flat surface; the raised bezel around the camera cut-out should keep the lenses from touching the table
