iPhone 17 Protection

The OtterBox Sole Series Case fits the iPhone 17 and meets military drop standard MIL-STD-810G 516.6 with 5X testing. A high-ridge tread around the edge adds grip and a rugged feel. The hardwearing fabric back shows an ombré fade in Real Quiet Blue.

Upgrade from Basic Covers

This case replaces thin shells that lack certified drop protection or integrated camera controls. The jump is worth it when you need MIL-STD-810G 516.6 compliance and a dedicated Camera Control button for fast visual intelligence access. Buyers who want more storage or a built-in battery should look elsewhere.

Simple Snap-On Install

The fitted design snaps onto the iPhone 17 and aligns with MagSafe magnets for wireless charging. The integrated Camera Control button sits flush for swipe, click and capture actions. A removable lanyard loop attaches to the case edge. Misaligned magnets or debris on the charging coil are the usual issues.

Questions about this item

Does the lanyard loop on the Sole Series case detach for cleaning or replacement?

Yes, the colorful lanyard loop is removable so you can take it off when you want a slimmer profile or swap it for a different loop.

How do you align the case so the MagSafe magnets engage properly?

Slide the iPhone 17 into the fitted shell until the edges click; the built-in magnetic array snaps into place automatically — no separate alignment step is needed.

Will the fabric back show wear where the lanyard attaches?

The hardwearing fabric is designed for daily carry, and the reinforced attachment point resists fraying even with frequent loop removal.
