Desk lamp for work and craft spaces

The OttLite Clarify LED Desk Lamp uses ClearSun LEDs to deliver natural daylight illumination that reduces eyestrain by up to 51 percent. A color rendering index of 95 plus ensures accurate colors for reading, sewing, or detailed tasks. The white finish and rounded diffuser provide smooth, uniform light across the tabletop.

Suited to compact desks and nightstands

Touch-activated controls cycle through four brightness levels so users can match the light to the task. The flexible neck lets the head be positioned exactly where illumination is needed. Buyers who require a fixed-arm lamp or a larger footprint for wide work surfaces should consider other styles.

Simple setup with touch controls

Place the lamp on a stable surface, plug it in, and tap the base to select a brightness setting. The flexible neck adjusts by hand without tools. The only common issue is forgetting to press the touch pad firmly enough to register a change.

Questions about this item

Does the 1.5 lb weight and 5.13 in base diameter mean the lamp will stay stable on a smooth desk without sliding?

The base diameter of 5.13 in and weight of 1.5 lb provide a low centre of gravity that keeps the lamp steady on smooth surfaces while you reposition the flexible neck.

Can the 13.5 in height and flexible neck direct light over a laptop keyboard without casting a shadow from the screen?

The 13.5 in height combined with the flexible neck lets you angle the ClearSun LED light over a laptop so the illumination falls on the keyboard rather than the screen.

After turning on the touch controls, how do I confirm the CRI 95+ and four brightness levels are active?

Tap the touch control to cycle through the four brightness settings; colours under the light should appear vivid and accurate, confirming the 95+ CRI performance.
