Wireless CarPlay for 2016-2023 cars

The Ottocast U2-Air adapter adds wireless Apple CarPlay to vehicles that originally require a wired USB connection. It targets drivers who want to keep their phone in a pocket or bag while still using navigation, music and hands-free calls through the factory infotainment screen.

Check for factory wired CarPlay first

The adapter only works in cars that already have OEM wired CarPlay fitted from the factory. Verify that your vehicle’s model year falls between 2016 and 2023 and that the system activates when you plug an iPhone into the USB port. Cars without factory CarPlay or those using Android Auto only are not compatible.

Replaces the wired USB link

It removes the need to plug and unplug a Lightning cable every journey, cutting cable wear and freeing the USB port for charging or other devices. The jump is worth it if you use CarPlay daily and want automatic pairing each time you start the car; it does not add CarPlay to a vehicle that never had it.
