Capacity and power

The OVENTE KP413B is a 1.8 litre electric kettle with a 1500 watt heating element that brings up to 1.7 litres of water to a boil. It runs on a 120 volt supply and has a black plastic body measuring 8.5 by 5.5 by 10.12 inches. The unit weighs 1.021 kilograms and is intended for household boiling and heating tasks.

ProntoFill lid and removable filter

The patented ProntoFill lid lets you pour water directly through the closed lid for one-handed refilling without lifting the cover. A removable mesh filter sits in the spout to catch debris and slides out for cleaning. The hinged lid also opens with a button press for traditional filling and interior access. An indicator light shows when the kettle is operating.

Safety shut-off and boil-dry protection

Auto shut-off turns the kettle off once the water reaches boiling point. Boil-dry protection prevents the element from energising if the kettle is switched on while empty. Both features operate automatically and cannot be adjusted. The concealed heating element simplifies cleaning, and the manufacturer advises hand washing and wiping the exterior only.

Questions about this item

How often should the removable filter be cleaned or replaced?

The filter slides out for easy cleaning; rinse it under running water whenever scale or debris is visible and slide it back in.

What stops the kettle from overheating if it runs dry during a long boiling session?

Boil-dry protection cuts power automatically when the unit detects no water, preventing damage to the concealed heating element.

How hot does the plastic body get when the 1500-watt heater keeps 1.8 liters at a boil?

The exterior stays warm but not dangerously hot; the indicator light shows when heating is active and auto shut-off ends the cycle once boiling finishes.
