The module uses Load Reduced ECC technology, which is electrically different from standard unbuffered or registered ECC DIMMs. It cannot be mixed with either type in the same system. Backward compatibility with 2133MHz and 2400MHz speeds allows use in slower memory buses without configuration changes.
