Professional workflow hub
The OWC Thunderbolt Pro Dock is a 10-port expansion hub built for creative professionals who need to connect high-speed storage, displays and networking through a single cable. It consolidates multiple peripherals into one desktop device that draws power from an included external supply, keeping the host port free for charging or data.
Thunderbolt connectivity decides compatibility
The dock connects via a single Thunderbolt link using the supplied .7 metre cable, so the host must provide a matching Thunderbolt port with sufficient bandwidth and power delivery. Systems that only offer standard USB-C video or data will not activate the dock’s full port array or its 10 GbE network interface.
Frees host ports while adding desktop I/O
One upstream connection replaces several cables and adds wired networking, card-reader slots, audio and video outputs without occupying additional host sockets. The external power brick handles downstream device charging so the computer’s own ports remain available for other accessories or mobile use.

Questions about this item
How does the 10-port count translate to real-world connectivity on a single Thunderbolt link?
All ten ports share one Thunderbolt connection to the host, so total bandwidth is limited by that single upstream link.
What does the Thunderbolt interface cap in practice for this dock?
The upstream Thunderbolt link sets the maximum aggregate throughput for every attached device combined.
What physical space and mounting does the dock need on a desk?
It includes a .7 metre Thunderbolt cable and an external power supply, so allow room for both the dock and its power brick.
