Insulation for 3/4-inch copper tube
This fiberglass pipe insulation fits 3/4-inch copper tube with a 1-1/8-inch outside diameter. The 2-inch wall thickness delivers an R-value of 16.1 for thermal control. It is supplied in a 3-foot length with a slit, adhesive and flap for installation. The ASJ facing provides a plenum-rated jacket in tan.
Replaces uninsulated or thinner wrap
The product upgrades bare copper or lower-R-value wrap where heat loss or condensation is a concern. The jump is worth it when the system operates between 0 and 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit and requires a flame spread index of 25 and smoke developed index of 50. It also satisfies plenum-rating requirements in mechanical spaces.
Handles high-temperature lines with headroom
The insulation comfortably handles hot-water and steam lines up to the rated maximum temperature. It runs out where the pipe diameter differs from 3/4-inch copper or where a different wall thickness or R-value is specified. The 3-foot length covers a single straight run; longer runs require additional pieces.
