Wireless PC Power Switch
The OwlTree PC038 is a wireless remote control that lets you turn a desktop computer on, off or reset it from a distance. It is intended for home users, server rooms, barebone PCs and custom water-cooled builds where the case power button is hard to reach. The kit includes a stainless steel push button, a receiver board with a 1-to-2 splitter and an installation manual.
304 Stainless Steel Build
The button is machined from 304 stainless steel, giving it corrosion resistance against moisture and sweat plus resistance to scratches and drops. Its surface-mount design uses an adhesive sticker so the button can be fixed inside or outside the case. The receiver draws power from either a motherboard USB 2.0 header or a PCIe x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot — only one source may be used at a time.
BIOS Configuration Limits
USB mode requires the "Always On USB Power" setting enabled in the BIOS, while PCIe mode requires the "ERP" setting disabled; both modes need a pairing step before first use. The switch operates at 5 volts and 0.01 amps across a temperature range of 0 to 100 degrees Celsius. It carries an IP00 rating, so it offers no ingress protection against dust or water.
