1960 Ford Fairlane Police Car

This Oxford Diecast model reproduces the 1960 Ford Fairlane Sedan as a Massachusetts State Police radar car in 1/87 scale. It is made of diecast metal with plastic parts and arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging. The model measures approximately 2.375 inches long and comes inside a plastic display showcase.

Collectors and HO layout builders

The piece suits collectors who want an officially licensed police vehicle with true-to-scale detail and a detailed interior and exterior. It does not have any openings, so buyers who need functional doors or hood access should look elsewhere. The fixed display format also limits use for interactive play scenarios.

1/87 scale diecast construction

The 1/87 ratio determines whether the model integrates with existing HO gauge railways or dioramas. Diecast metal construction provides weight and durability for long-term shelf display. The sealed showcase protects the finish while keeping the model visible from all sides.

Questions about this item

How do I display this 1/87 scale model without damaging the paint?

Place it inside the supplied plastic showcase; the model has no opening doors or hood, so handle only the base to avoid fingerprints on the blue two-tone finish.

What part of this diecast Ford Fairlane will need replacement over time?

No moving or consumable parts exist; the only upkeep is occasional dusting of the sealed showcase to keep the 2.375 inch model visible.

What limits how long I can keep this Massachusetts State Police radar car on a shelf?

Prolonged direct sunlight can fade the blue two-tone paint on the diecast metal and plastic parts, so display away from UV exposure.
