Volkswagen T2 Pickup 1/148 Scale Model

This 1/148 scale diecast replica depicts the Volkswagen T2 Pickup in Emerald Green and Arkona White. It is an officially licensed collectible made by Oxford Diecast for adult hobbyists. The model arrives in its original unopened packaging and includes a plastic display showcase. True-to-scale detail covers both the interior and exterior of the vehicle.

Display-Ready Collectible for Shelf Integration

The model measures approximately 1.125 inches long, allowing it to fit into compact N-scale layouts or dense display cabinets. It requires no assembly, batteries or additional accessories to exhibit. The sealed construction has no openings, so dust cannot reach the detailed interior. A clear plastic showcase is supplied for immediate protection and presentation.

Upgrade from Basic Toy Replicas

Collectors moving up from generic toy trucks gain an officially licensed Volkswagen design with accurate proportions and paint. The jump is worth it when authenticity and licensing matter more than play features. Buyers who need opening doors, a steering mechanism or a larger scale for handling should look elsewhere. This piece serves display and collection purposes only.

Questions about this item

How small is the 1/148 scale model on my shelf?

It measures roughly 1.125 inches long, so it fits easily on a crowded N-scale layout or a narrow display ledge.

Will the paint or plastic parts degrade if the model sits under lights all day?

The diecast body with plastic trim is finished for display; normal indoor lighting and room temperature will not cause noticeable fading or warping.

Does the showcase come ready to display or do I need a base?

The model ships inside its own plastic display showcase, so no separate stand or mounting hardware is required.
