Seven-piece set for daily use

This OXO 2KR set supplies seven black wooden spoons, each measuring 9.06 inches long and 0.31 inches wide. The handles are crafted from wood with a traditional lacquer finish applied by hand in Obama city, Fukui prefecture. Each piece weighs 0.53 ounces and is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.

Replaces worn or mismatched utensils

The set upgrades a kitchen that relies on a single spoon or a mix of older tools that have cracked or faded. The jump is worth it when you want a uniform set that resists heat and will not scratch non-stick cookware. The lacquer layers, polished over ten times, hold up better than basic oil finishes on cheaper spoons.

Simple to start using

No assembly is required; wash before first use and place in the dishwasher thereafter. The main mistake is putting them in a microwave or oven, which the lacquer cannot tolerate. The slender 0.31-inch profile fits most utensil drawers, but very narrow divider slots may be a tight fit.

Questions about this item

How deep must a drawer be to store the 9.06 inch chopsticks flat?

The chopsticks measure 9.06 inches long, so a drawer needs at least that much clear depth to hold them flat without angling.

What is the correct first step when putting the lacquered wooden chopsticks into the dishwasher?

Place them on the top rack only, avoiding the heating element, because the maker warns against microwave or oven use.

When should the black lacquered wooden chopsticks be replaced?

Replace them when the lacquer shows cracks, flaking, or deep wear that exposes the wood underneath.
