Heat-resistant handles and simple cleaning

Handles are made from methacrylic resin rated to 212°F (100°C), so they stay cool during normal use and survive the dishwasher without warping. The lightweight construction keeps handling effortless at the table.

Authentic Japanese manufacture with licensed artwork

Produced in Japan, the set features Dick Bruna illustrations copyright Mercis bv. The warm, cotton-inspired design adds a subtle decorative touch without changing the practical function of the cutlery.

Questions about this item

How do I arrange the 24-piece stainless steel set with plastic handles in the 0.8 L x 4.1 W x 24.7 H cm tray?

Place each of the 24 pieces into the designated slots in the compact tray measuring 0.8 L x 4.1 W x 24.7 H cm; the common mistake is forcing knives blade-first instead of sliding handles in first.

Will the plastic handles or stainless steel blades need replacement after repeated dishwasher cycles?

The methacrylic resin handles resist heat up to 212°F (100°C) and are dishwasher safe, so neither the black plastic handles nor the stainless steel blades require scheduled replacement.

At what temperature does the handle material start to deform during prolonged high-heat washing?

The methacrylic resin handles are rated to 212°F (100°C); sustained dishwasher temperatures above that limit will cause the handles to soften and lose their round ergonomic shape first.
