Edison Friends Training Chopsticks

The OXO Edison Friends chopsticks are right-handed trainers made for adult beginners who want to learn proper chopstick technique. Silicone rings guide the index and middle fingers while props support the thumb and ring finger, building correct muscle memory from the first meal.

Suits new learners and limited dexterity

These trainers help adults, seniors and anyone recovering from stroke or arthritis develop the 30 joints and over 50 muscles used in chopstick manipulation. They are not for left-handed users, for children needing smaller dimensions, or for cooks who require standard cutlery without guidance rings.

Simple hand-wash setup

The ABS and silicone rings slide onto the stainless-steel shafts in seconds; no tools are required. As confidence grows, rings can be removed one at a time for progressive practice. Hand-wash only — dishwasher heat may warp the silicone and loosen the fit.

Questions about this item

What silicone rings and thumb prop come on the Edison Friends training chopsticks to guide finger placement?

The chopsticks include silicone rings for the middle and index fingers plus a thumb prop and a ring-finger prop that position each digit at the correct angle for learning.

Can the 7.87 in training chopsticks be used together with regular stainless-steel chopsticks once the silicone guides are removed?

Yes, after the detachable silicone rings and props are taken off the 7.87 in trainers, you can switch directly to ordinary chopsticks without any adapter.

How do I know the 7.87 in Edison Friends chopsticks are positioned correctly during practice?

When the middle and index fingers sit in the silicone rings, the thumb rests on its prop and the ring finger on its prop, the tips align evenly and the sticks move in a controlled scissor motion.
