Small Sink Mat Purpose

The OXO Good Grips Small Sink Mat creates a protective layer between dishware and the sink surface to prevent scratches, chips and dents. It measures 12.25 by 11.5 inches and suits homeowners who want a softer base for daily washing tasks.

Upgrading from Bare Sink

A rigid raised structure replaces direct contact with hard metal or composite basins and adds drainage channels that let water escape while air circulates for faster drying. The jump is worth it when glasses and plates regularly show impact marks or the sink bottom stays wet between uses.

Best Fit and Limits

Non-slip feet keep the mat steady during use and the PVC-free material cleans easily with standard dish soap. Buyers who need full-basin coverage or a design that fits unusually shaped sinks should look at something else.

Questions about this item

Will the 12.25 x 11.5 in mat fit my sink basin?

Measure your basin interior; the mat needs a flat area at least 31 cm by 29.5 cm so the non-slip feet sit fully supported.

How do I install the OXO Good Grips Small Sink Mat correctly?

Place it on a clean, dry sink bottom and press each corner until the non-slip feet grip; the step people miss is skipping the drying step, which prevents suction.

When should I replace the sink mat?

Replace it when the non-slip feet no longer hold the mat in place or the rigid raised grid stays permanently bent, reducing drainage.
