24-Piece High Carbon Steel Chef Set

The XCHIEF PRO collection supplies six forged knives covering chef, santoku, nakiri, Serbian chef, boning and utility profiles, plus poultry shears and a honing steel. It targets home cooks and outdoor enthusiasts who want one portable kit for kitchen prep, BBQ and camping tasks. The full-tang wood handles and stonewashed hammer finish are built for heavy daily use. This set is not for buyers who need stainless-only blades that tolerate dishwasher cleaning.

Canvas-Leather Bag With Zippered Pockets

The included bag holds all six knives, shears and steel in dedicated slots and adds two zippered pockets for extra accessories, keeping the kit organised whether stored in a drawer or carried to a campsite. Each blade ships with its own protective cover for safe transport. Hand washing is required; the high carbon steel will corrode if left wet or machine washed. The bag’s canvas and leather construction resists wear during frequent travel.

Forged High Carbon Blades Need Manual Care

The 16.5 inch overall length and 3.411 kilogram weight reflect the substantial forged construction and full tang design that give each knife its balance and edge retention. Blades measure 8 inches and 9 inches depending on style, with plain edges suited to slicing, chopping and boning. Regular honing and immediate drying after use maintain performance; no honing schedule or oil type is specified by the manufacturer.

Questions about this item

How do I fit all six knives, the poultry shears and the honing steel into the bag without forcing them?

Each knife has its own blade cover; slide every covered blade into its dedicated slot in the canvas-and-leather bag, then place the shears and honing steel in the two zippered pockets — the bag is sized at 16.5 inches long to hold the full set without crowding.

What ongoing care does the high-carbon steel demand?

Hand-wash and dry immediately after every use, then apply a light coat of food-grade oil; the forged blades are not dishwasher-safe and will corrode if left wet or stored damp.

At what point does the wood handle become slippery during a long prep session?

The premium wood handle is shaped for grip, but prolonged exposure to water or oil reduces friction — wipe the handle dry whenever it feels slick to maintain control.
