6-piece wooden spoon set

The OXO YL-1006 set provides six wooden spoons, each measuring six inches in length. They are suited to home cooks who need small utensils for stirring coffee, portioning condiments or serving individual portions. The natural wood construction gives a warm, understated look that fits most kitchen styles.

Hand-wash care and lightweight feel

Each spoon weighs very little, with the full package totalling 1.5 ounces, so handling fatigue is minimal during extended prep. Wood does not conduct heat, so the handles stay comfortable when stirring warm sauces or soups. Cleaning requires only warm soapy water and prompt drying to prevent moisture damage.

Six-inch length limits serving size

The fixed six-inch length makes these spoons ideal for small jars, ramekins and single cups, but they cannot reach the bottom of deep pots or large mixing bowls. Buyers who need longer stirring reach or high-volume serving tools should consider a different utensil size.

Questions about this item

How do I start using the OXO YL-1006 wooden spoons, and what is the common mistake?

Rinse the six natural-wood spoons before first use; the step people skip is drying each one thoroughly so moisture does not linger in the grain.

What ongoing care will the OXO YL-1006 set need?

Hand-wash with warm soapy water, towel-dry immediately, and rub food-grade mineral oil into the wood whenever the surface looks dull.

What is the first sign the OXO YL-1006 spoons are wearing out from daily use?

The bowl edges turn fuzzy or develop fine cracks, signalling the wood fibres are breaking down and the spoon should be replaced.
