Silent hands-free page turning

The PageFlip Butterfly is a wireless Bluetooth foot pedal that lets musicians and speakers turn pages on tablets or computers without using their hands. Its rugged aluminium body and silent foot action keep distractions to a minimum during live performances, rehearsals or teaching sessions. The pedal runs on two AA batteries for about a year and includes a USB dongle for devices without Bluetooth.

Three configurable pedal modes

A single button cycles through PageUp/PageDown, Arrow Up/Down or Left/Right commands so the pedal adapts to forScore, MobileSheets, OnSong, Newzik and similar apps on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows or Linux. An automatic sleep mode activates after 30 minutes of inactivity to preserve battery life, and an LED warning flashes before the batteries are exhausted. The unit is not programmable and has no illuminated pedals.

Compact aluminium build for quiet stages

Measuring 5.3 in by 1.4 in by 6.8 in, the Butterfly fits easily on a pedalboard or music stand while its aluminium construction resists knocks from touring. Silent mechanical switches produce no audible click, making it suitable for recording studios and quiet passages. Power comes solely from the two AA cells; there is no AC adapter or rechargeable battery option.

Questions about this item

How much noise does the Butterfly pedal make when used continuously during a long rehearsal?

The pedal has a silent foot action and a smart sleep mode that activates after 30 minutes of inactivity, so it stays quiet and conserves battery during all-day sessions.

What device and software must I already have to use the Butterfly pedal for page turning?

You need a tablet or computer running iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, or Linux with Bluetooth or a free USB port for the dongle, plus a compatible app such as forScore, MobileSheets, OnSong, Newzik, or Kindle.

Will the Butterfly pedal work alongside my older wired USB page-turner on the same computer?

Yes, the Butterfly connects via Bluetooth or its own USB dongle, so it can operate at the same time as a wired pedal without driver conflicts on Windows, Mac, or Linux.
