Panasonic CF-29 Optical Drive

The Panasonic CF-VDR291U is a CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive built for the CF-29 notebook series. It reads CDs at 24x and DVDs at 8x while writing CDs at 24x. A 2 MB buffer with underrun protection helps keep writes stable. The tray-loading mechanism accepts standard optical discs.

Suits CF-29 owners only

This drive fits users who need to read or write CDs and DVDs on a Panasonic CF-29 notebook. It does not write DVD media, so buyers who need DVD-R or DVD-RW recording should look elsewhere. The unit is specific to the CF-29 series and will not install in other laptops.

Tray-load CD-RW/DVD-ROM

The drive uses a tray-loading mechanism rather than a slot-load design. This determines how discs are inserted and whether the drive fits the CF-29 chassis opening. Confirm the loading style matches your notebook before ordering.
