Panasonic ET-RFC100 projector air filter

The Panasonic ET-RFC100 is a replacement air filter designed for compatible Panasonic projectors. It prevents dust from reaching internal optical components. This accessory suits owners of listed models who need to maintain cooling performance. Regular replacement protects the lamp and extends projector life.

Installing the filter and common issues

Installation typically involves opening the filter cover, removing the old unit, and inserting the new filter until it seats. The process requires no tools on most listed models. Problems arise when the filter is inserted upside down or when the cover latch is not fully engaged. A loose cover can trigger a sensor error or allow unfiltered air inside.

Checks before ordering

Verify that your projector model matches the supported list: PT-CW230, PT-CW230U, PT-CW230EA, PT-CW230E, PT-CX200, PT-CX200U, PT-CX200EA, and PT-CX. Confirm the filter compartment is accessible and not damaged. This filter is not for projectors outside the named series or for users who need a lamp assembly instead.

Questions about this item

How do I know the ET-RFC100 air filter is working after I install it?

The projector's filter warning icon or on-screen message will no longer appear, and the cooling fans will run without the reduced effectiveness caused by a clogged filter.

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately for the ET-RFC100?

The package contains the ET-RFC100 air filter only; the projector lamp is sold separately, though manufacturers suggest replacing both at the same time.

Which ET-RFC100 version should I choose for my PT-CW230 or PT-CX200 series projector?

The single ET-RFC100 part number fits all listed models including PT-CW230, PT-CW230U, PT-CW230EA, PT-CW230E, PT-CX200, PT-CX200U, PT-CX200EA and PT-CX.
