Panasonic AAA NiMH 8-pack

This eight-pack supplies 1.2 V 700 mAh AAA cells for devices that take standard cylindrical batteries. The flat-top terminals suit holders without protruding contacts. Buyers needing lithium voltage or higher capacity per cell will need a different chemistry.

NiMH voltage and self-discharge limits

Each cell delivers 1.2 V nominal, lower than the 1.5 V of alkaline AAA batteries, so some equipment may show reduced runtime or inaccurate fuel gauges. Low self-discharge chemistry retains 85 percent charge after one year in storage. The pack is not suited for applications that require primary-cell voltage curves.

Flat-top terminals and cycle durability

Flat-top ends require spring-loaded or solder-tab holders; they will not make contact in devices designed for button-top cells. Rated for up to 1000 recharge cycles with no memory effect, the batteries come pre-charged for immediate use. Users without a compatible NiMH charger cannot recharge the pack.
