Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-60mm f/2.8-4.0 ASPH POWER O.I.S. camera lens

Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-60mm f/2.8-4.0

This Panasonic micro four thirds zoom lens covers a 24-120mm equivalent focal range with a constant f/2.8-4.0 aperture. It is built for photographers and videographers who want a single weather-sealed optic for landscapes, events and portraits. The construction uses four aspherical and two extra-low dispersion elements plus Nano Surface Coating to suppress ghosting and flare.

The lens uses the micro four thirds bayonet so it fits Panasonic Lumix G and Olympus OM-D bodies natively. POWER O.I.S. works with Dual I.S. 2.0 on compatible Lumix G cameras for combined stabilisation. On bodies without in-body stabilisation the lens stabiliser still operates independently. Verify that your body supports the 240 fps linear AF motor for full video AF performance.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The all-metal barrel is rated splashproof dustproof and freezeproof so it maintains function in adverse weather without overheating. The linear motor drives focus silently which keeps audio clean during video recording. Optical stabilisation runs from the camera battery and draws minimal current during handheld shooting at 60mm equivalent. No active cooling is required.
