Ultra-wide Micro Four Thirds lens

The Panasonic LUMIX G Leica DG Summilux 9mm f/1.7 is an ultra-wide prime lens designed for Micro Four Thirds cameras. It offers a 100° angle of view with an 18mm full-frame equivalent focal length. The bright f/1.7 maximum aperture supports low-light shooting and shallow depth of field. The bundle adds a 55mm filter kit, case, cleaning supplies and a lens cap tether.

Check your mount and filter thread

Verify that your camera uses the Micro Four Thirds mount before ordering. The front filter thread measures 55mm, so any additional filters must match this diameter. The lens weighs approximately 130g and features a dust and splash-resistant construction. Ensure your camera body can drive the focus motor for the 240 fps contrast AF system.

Ideal for landscape and video creators

This lens suits photographers and videographers who need a fast, ultra-wide perspective for landscapes, interiors or astrophotography. The focus-breathing suppression and micro-step aperture control benefit serious video work. Buyers who need zoom flexibility or longer focal lengths should look at other options. Users without a Micro Four Thirds camera cannot mount this lens.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and what do I need to buy separately?

The bundle supplies the 9mm f/1.7 lens, front and rear caps, hood, 55mm filter kit, case, cleaner, cleaning kit, cap tether and a 3-year warranty; no extra items are required to start shooting.

How do I decide between the available versions or capacities of this lens?

Only one version exists — a single 9mm f/1.7 Micro Four Thirds lens — so there are no alternative focal lengths or aperture choices to compare.

What does the 100° angle of view mean when I mount the lens on my camera?

On a Micro Four Thirds body it gives an 18mm equivalent ultra-wide perspective, covering expansive landscapes and interiors with a 100° diagonal field of view.
