Professional Micro Four Thirds Zoom

This Panasonic Lumix G Leica DG Vario-Summilux 10-25mm f/1.7 lens is built for mirrorless Micro Four Thirds cameras. It serves photographers and videographers who need a fast, constant-aperture zoom covering a 20-50mm equivalent range. The bundle adds a 77mm filter kit, flex shade, wrap, cleaning kit, cap tether and cleaner.

Constant F1.7 Aperture Across the Zoom

The defining specification is a fixed f/1.7 maximum aperture from 10mm to 25mm. Brightness does not drop when you zoom, so exposure stays consistent for video and low-light stills. Buyers who need a slower variable-aperture zoom or a wider focal range will not be served by this design.

Smooth Exposure Transitions Under Changing Light

A stepless de-clicked aperture ring and micro-step drive let you adjust iris without audible clicks or visible steps while recording. The 17-element, 12-group optical formula uses three aspherical and four ED lenses to control aberrations during sustained shooting. Photographers who prefer clicked aperture stops for stills-only work may find the ring less tactile.

Questions about this item

What does the constant f/1.7 aperture mean when I am shooting at the long end of the 10-25mm zoom?

You keep the same bright f/1.7 opening at 25mm that you have at 10mm, so exposure stays consistent while zooming and low-light performance does not drop off at the telephoto end.

How does the Micro Four Thirds mount affect the field of view compared to the 10-25mm marking?

The MFT sensor applies a 2× crop factor, so the lens behaves like a 20-50mm equivalent on full frame while retaining the f/1.7 aperture brightness across the range.

Which filter thread size do I need for the front of this lens?

The barrel takes 77mm filters, matching the ProOptic UV, CPL and ND filters included in the bundle.
