50mm F1.8 L-Mount Prime

This Panasonic LUMIX S 50mm f/1.8 lens is a large-aperture standard prime designed for L-Mount full-frame cameras. It features nine elements in eight groups, including three aspherical lenses, one ED lens, and one UHR lens. The bundle adds a ProOptic 67mm filter kit, Corel Mac software suite, and cleaning accessories. It suits photographers wanting a bright, versatile focal length.

Portrait and video shooters on L-Mount

The F1.8 aperture delivers shallow depth of field for portraits and low-light work, while suppressed focus breathing and smooth aperture control benefit video recording. Uniform size and control positioning across the F1.8 series allow quick gimbal lens swaps. Buyers needing zoom flexibility or a wider angle of view should consider other focal lengths.

L-Mount system integration

The lens shares a common diameter and control layout with other Panasonic F1.8 primes, simplifying filter sharing and rig balance. Its 67mm filter thread matches the included ProOptic kit. The optical formula corrects chromatic aberration for crisp results across the frame. It mounts directly to any L-Mount full-frame body without adapters.
