Panasonic LUMIX S PRO 16-35mm F4 L-Mount Lens

Versatile wide zoom for L-mount

The Panasonic LUMIX S PRO 16-35mm F4 is a professional wide-angle zoom lens built for the L-mount system. It covers a 16-35mm focal range with a constant f/4.0 aperture, making it suitable for landscape, architecture and event photography. The optical design uses 12 elements in 9 groups, including aspherical, ED and UHR lenses to maintain high resolution across the frame. A double-magnet linear motor drives fast, precise autofocus at up to 480 fps sensor readout.

Photographers needing constant f/4 wide zoom

This lens suits creators who want a single high-quality wide zoom for both stills and video on L-mount bodies. The focus clutch gives instant manual-focus override without menu diving. Buyers who need a faster maximum aperture such as f/2.8 for low-light work or shallower depth of field should consider other options. The 35mm long end also limits reach for tighter compositions or portrait work.

Constant f/4 aperture across 16-35mm range

The fixed f/4.0 aperture stays consistent throughout the zoom range, simplifying exposure control during video recording and variable-light shooting. This specification determines whether the lens matches a workflow that relies on constant brightness while zooming. If a wider maximum aperture is essential for the intended use, this model will not meet that requirement.
