Fully Rugged Windows Tablet

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 is a 10.1 inch Windows 10 Pro tablet built to MIL-STD-810G and IP65 standards. Its magnesium alloy chassis with elastomer corner guards survives drops, vibration, rain, dust and temperature extremes. An Intel Core i5-4310U vPro processor at 2.0 GHz with 8 GB RAM and a 128 GB SSD runs field applications in a sealed, fanless design.

Field Workers Needing Daylight Readability

The 1920 x 1200 WUXGA display combines 10-point capacitive multi-touch with an active digitizer for bare hand, gloved or stylus input. Anti-reflective and anti-glare treatments plus LED backlighting keep content visible in direct sunlight. Integrated 4G LTE multi-carrier broadband with satellite GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth keep data flowing on site. Buyers who need a larger screen or user-upgradable memory should look elsewhere.

Fixed 8 GB Memory Limit

The system ships with 8 GB of RAM and the manufacturer specifies a maximum supported memory of 8 GB, so no upgrade path exists. This ceiling decides whether the tablet can handle your current and future workloads. Verify that your software suite runs comfortably within this constraint before purchasing.
