Fully Rugged 10.1" Tablet for Field Work

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 MK3 is a fully rugged tablet built for highly mobile field workers. It carries MIL-STD-810G and IP65 certification plus hazardous-location approval. An Intel Core i5-5300U vPro processor at 2.3GHz with Turbo Boost to 2.9GHz drives Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. The 10.1" WUXGA display resolves 1920 x 1200.

Fanless Design Runs Silent with Long Battery Life

The tablet uses a fanless chassis so operation stays silent in quiet environments. An optional long-life battery supports up to 26 hours of use between charges. An integrated bridge battery allows hot-swap changes without shutting down. The low-power 5th Generation Core i5 processor keeps heat and draw minimal during normal tasks.

Windows 10 Pro Locked at 64-Bit

The operating system is Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and the supplier states it is not upgradeable to Windows 11. Buyers who need a supported OS upgrade path or future feature updates should look elsewhere. This constraint is fixed by the installed licence and hardware qualification.

Questions about this item

How do I install the optional long-life battery to reach 26 hours, and what step is often missed?

Remove the rear cover, insert the battery into the dedicated compartment, and connect the integrated bridge battery cable — many forget the cable, so the tablet runs only on the main pack.

Which component will need replacement after heavy field use?

The 256GB SSD is the only user-replaceable storage; the 8GB memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded.

What limit appears first during sustained workloads on the Core i5-5300U?

The processor throttles when its thermal envelope is reached, capping Turbo Boost at 2.9GHz until the chassis cools.
