Rugged tablet for field teams

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 MK4 is a fully rugged 10.1" tablet built for outdoor workforces. It runs Windows 10 Pro 64 bit on an Intel Core i5-6300U vPro processor at 2.4 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.0 GHz. The daylight-readable WUXGA display reaches 800 nit and supports 10-point capacitive multi-touch plus a digitizer. An integrated 2D barcode reader, 8MP rear camera with auto-focus and LED light, and 720p webcam complete the field-ready package.

Suits mobile workers needing daylight visibility

This unit serves technicians, logistics staff and survey crews who need a bright, durable screen and a built-in barcode scanner in a sealed chassis. It is not for buyers who want more storage than the 128 GB SSD provides, nor for users who require a discrete graphics processor or additional USB ports beyond the single USB 3.0 connection. The fixed 8 GB DDR3L memory also limits heavy multitasking scenarios.

10.1" 1920 x 1200 800-nit multi-touch display

The 10.1-inch WUXGA panel delivers 1920 x 1200 resolution and peaks at 800 nit for clear outdoor viewing. Ten-point capacitive touch and an active digitizer allow precise input with gloves or stylus. This display specification is the deciding factor for field deployments where sunlight readability and rugged touch operation are mandatory.

Questions about this item

Does the box include the rotating hand strap and tall corner guards, or must they be purchased separately?

The tablet ships with tall corner guards and a rotating hand strap already fitted, so no extra accessories are required for basic protection and handling.

Should I choose the 128 GB SSD model or look for a larger capacity for field documentation?

This unit is the 128 GB SSD configuration; if you need more local storage for high-resolution images or offline maps, you would have to select a different capacity when ordering.

What does the 2-800 nit brightness range mean when I use the 10.1 inch WUXGA screen outdoors?

The display can reach up to 800 nits, making the 1920 x 1200 panel readable in direct sunlight while the 10-point capacitive touch and digitizer remain responsive.
