Holds circuit boards up to 12 inches wide and 0.156 inches thick with V-groove tips on a 4.125-inch aluminum shaft compatible with 300 series bases
The PanaVise 315 is an aluminium circuit board holder designed for technicians who need a stable platform while soldering or inspecting printed circuit boards. It clamps boards up to 12 inches wide and 0.156 inches thick using V-grooves at the arm tips. The holder attaches to any 300 series base via a 5/8 inch diameter shaft that is 4.125 inches long.
As a purely mechanical hand tool, the holder produces no heat, draws no power and operates in complete silence. Its aluminium construction resists corrosion and conducts heat away from the workpiece during prolonged soldering sessions. No electrical connection or external energy source is required for normal use.
The single specification that determines fit is the 5/8 inch diameter mounting hole, which matches every PanaVise 300 series base. Builders who need a different mounting pattern or a base that is not part of the 300 series cannot use this holder without an adapter that is not included.

Insert the 4.125 in shaft into the base's 5/8 in mounting hole and tighten the set screw; the step often missed is fully seating the shaft so the V-grooves align level before clamping the board.
The aluminum arms and V-grooves resist corrosion; only the set screw on the 5/8 in shaft may need occasional re-tightening or replacement if threads wear.
The 0.156 in maximum board thickness and the fixed V-groove spacing limit clamping force; boards at full width can flex, reducing grip stability before the aluminum frame yields.
