Straight Blade Plugs for 16-14 AWG wire

The Panduit BSN14-M is a crimp-type butt splice connector designed to join 16 to 14 AWG conductors. It is built for installers and maintenance crews who need a reliable, insulated splice rated for 600 V in industrial, commercial or automotive electrical systems.

Fits standard crimp tools and 16-14 AWG conductors

The nylon-insulated barrel accepts stripped wire without special preparation beyond standard crimping. Its 1.15 in overall length keeps the splice compact inside junction boxes or wire ways, freeing space for adjacent terminations and reducing congestion in tight panels.

Handles 600 V and 221 °F continuous temperature

The tin-plated copper barrel with brazed seam delivers consistent conductivity across the full 16-14 AWG range. It meets UL 486C, CSA 22.2 No. 65 and ABS standards, but it does not suit wires larger than 14 AWG or applications exceeding the 600 V rating.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum temperature the nylon insulation can withstand before it degrades?

The insulation is rated for a maximum of 221 degrees Fahrenheit.

How much heat does the connector generate during continuous 600 V operation?

The connector itself does not generate heat; temperature rise depends on the crimp quality and the current carried by the 16 to 14 AWG wire.

Which crimp tool and die are required for the 0.15 inch barrel diameter?

A crimp tool and die approved for Panduit 16 to 14 AWG butt splices with a 0.15 inch barrel inside diameter are required.
