Cable tie for 4 in bundles

This Panduit cable tie secures wire bundles up to 4 inches in diameter with a 40 lb tensile strength. The 14.3 inch actual length and 0.14 inch width suit intermediate fastening tasks. A stainless steel barb locking style holds the tie firmly in place.

Replaces ties rated below 40 lb

When existing ties snap under load or cannot reach around larger bundles, this nylon 6/6 strap provides the needed strength and length. The plenum rating and halogen-free, low-smoke material make it suitable for air-handling spaces where lower-rated ties are not permitted.

Installers needing plenum-rated nylon

Technicians running cable in plenum areas will find the UL Type 2 listing and temperature range of -76 to 185 degrees F meet code requirements. Buyers who require metal-detectable straps, outdoor UV resistance, or flame-retardant certification should select a different product.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum bundle diameter the 14-1/2 in cable tie can secure?

The cable tie secures bundles up to 4 in maximum diameter using its stainless steel barb locking style.

How do you correctly engage the stainless steel barb when installing the tie?

Insert the tail fully through the head until the stainless steel barb clicks into the next tooth; pulling too gently leaves the barb unseated and the tie can slip.

Will the nylon material degrade if used in a plenum space with temperatures near 185 Degrees F?

The Nylon 6/6 tie is plenum rated and halogen-free, with a temperature range up to 185 Degrees F, so it maintains strength at that limit.
