Simple hand installation with locking barb

Installation is performed by threading the tail through the head and pulling tight; the stainless steel barb locks the strap in place. The 0.05 inch thickness allows the tie to seat firmly against the bundle. The main issue is over-tensioning, which can cut into wire insulation or snap the nylon at the head. Once locked, the tie cannot be released or reused without cutting it off.

Temperature and environment limits apply

The ties operate from -76 degrees to 185 degrees Fahrenheit, making them suitable for outdoor and automotive environments. They carry a UL Type 2 rating and meet plenum requirements for low smoke generation. They are not flame retardant, not metal detectable, and lack a flame rating for direct high-heat exposure.
