Industrial panel PC for rugged environments

This 17-inch all-in-one computer combines an Intel Core i7-6500U processor with 8GB of DDR3 memory, a 256GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. Its IP65-rated front panel and fanless aluminium chassis are built for continuous operation in dusty or wet industrial settings. The 10-point projected capacitive touch screen supports gloved operation. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Connectivity limited to wired and legacy interfaces

The unit provides two LAN ports, two COM ports, HDMI, VGA, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 sockets, plus audio in and out. No wireless module is included, though a Mini PCIe slot with a SIM holder allows optional Wi-Fi or 4G expansion. Video output is restricted to HDMI and VGA, so modern DisplayPort or USB-C monitors cannot be connected directly. All I/O is routed through a 12V DC jack.

17-inch 1280 x 1024 touch display decides fit

The 5:4 aspect-ratio panel delivers 250 cd/m² brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio with 80/60-degree viewing angles. Its 1280 x 1024 resolution and 10-point capacitive layer determine whether the PC suits a specific HMI or control-room layout. The fixed screen size and resolution cannot be changed, so mounting cut-out dimensions of 380 x 315 mm must match the installation.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the mSATA SSD or the M.2 NVMe slot for the 256GB drive?

The 256GB SSD ships pre-installed; the board also provides an mSATA slot and an M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe x4/SATA slot plus a 2.5" SATA bay for the 1TB HDD, so you can add storage without removing the original drive.

What does the i7-6500U’s 3.10 GHz turbo mean for daily industrial workloads?

The dual-core CPU with 4 MB cache boosts to 3.10 GHz, giving responsive Windows 11 Pro performance for HMI, data logging and light edge-computing tasks while the fanless aluminium chassis keeps noise at zero.

Which video outputs does the HDMI and VGA combo support on this panel?

HDMI and VGA ports drive external displays alongside the built-in 1280 x 1024 touchscreen, letting you mirror or extend the desktop for multi-monitor machine interfaces.
