Enterprise-Grade Mini Workstation

The Partaker B18 packs an Intel Xeon E-2276M six-core processor with twelve threads into a compact barebone chassis. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 128 GB SSD, running Windows 11 Pro out of the box. This configuration targets small-business servers, digital-signage players and home-lab enthusiasts who need workstation-class reliability in a space-saving footprint. Buyers requiring more than 64 GB of RAM or multiple discrete GPUs should look elsewhere.

Thermals, Noise and Power Draw

A 45 W TDP processor is cooled by a smart silent fan that adjusts speed to load, keeping acoustics low during typical office or streaming workloads. The included 100 W external power brick delivers 20 V at 5 A through a 5.5 mm barrel connector, providing headroom for the CPU, dual LAN controllers and up to three storage devices. Idle power remains modest, allowing continuous 24/7 operation without excessive heat buildup in the 134×144×64 mm enclosure.

Deciding Specification: ECC Memory Support

The platform officially supports ECC SODIMM modules up to 64 GB total capacity across two slots. This single feature determines whether the B18 suits your workload: if data integrity for ZFS, virtualization hosts or scientific computing is mandatory, the Xeon plus ECC combination satisfies that need; if you only need standard non-ECC memory, less expensive alternatives exist.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the B18 barebone using the included VESA bracket, and which step is often missed?

Attach the VESA mount to the rear of the 134×144×64 mm chassis with the supplied screws, then secure the assembly to a monitor or wall; the step often missed is connecting the 100 W 20 V 5 A DC adapter before tightening the final bracket screws.

Which memory or storage components will need replacement or upgrade over time, and what are the limits?

The two SODIMM DDR4-2666 slots support up to 64 GB with ECC; the three M.2 2280 Key M sockets each accept up to 2 TB NVMe or SATA, and the 2.5-inch 9.5 mm bay takes up to 2 TB HDD.

What thermal or power limit appears first when the Xeon E-2276M runs sustained workloads?

The 45 W TDP processor is cooled by a smart silent fan powered from the 100 W PSU; under continuous load the CPU will throttle at its 45 W thermal envelope before the power supply reaches its 100 W ceiling.
