Industrial mini PC for edge deployments

The Partaker N7 is a fan-cooled barebone built around an Intel Core i5-1235U processor with ten cores and twelve threads reaching 4.4 GHz turbo. It arrives with 8 GB of DDR5-4800 memory and a 128 GB SSD installed, running Windows 11 Pro or Linux Ubuntu. The aluminium chassis measures 170 x 140 x 58 mm and supports VESA mounting for DIN-rail or panel installations in automation cabinets.

Upgrade path from dual-core gateways

The single DDR5 SODIMM slot accepts up to 32 GB, letting integrators move from 8 GB to the full 32 GB when workloads demand larger buffers. An M.2 2280 NVME slot and a 2.5-inch bay provide room for additional high-speed or high-capacity storage beyond the factory 128 GB drive. Three Intel i225-V 2.5G LAN ports replace single-gigabit interfaces, removing the network bottleneck common on older industrial boxes.

Headroom for vision and IoT workloads

The CPU’s ten cores handle parallel inference, sensor fusion and protocol translation concurrently, while 32 GB RAM ceiling accommodates local model caching and edge databases. Three HDMI outputs drive independent 4K displays for operator panels or machine-vision cameras. Dual COM ports with RS232/RS485, a SIM slot and M.2 3052 plus Mini-PCIe expansion cover legacy PLCs, 4G/5G and Wi-Fi modules without external adapters.

Questions about this item

Does the N7 include VESA mounting holes for wall or monitor-arm installation?

Yes, the N7 supports VESA mounting so it can be attached to a monitor arm or wall bracket.

How do I install an M.2 2280 NVME drive, and what step is commonly missed?

Remove the bottom cover, insert the M.2 2280 NVME drive into the M-key slot at an angle, then secure it with the retention screw; the step often missed is fastening that screw before reassembling the case.

The N7 has a fan for active cooling; what ongoing maintenance does it require?

Periodically clean dust from the fan intake and exhaust vents to maintain airflow, especially when operating near the 40 °C commercial or 50 °C industrial temperature limits.
